10 Ways to Reuse Baby Bottles

Once Lulu turned a year old and transitioned to sip cups fulltime I contemplated on what we could do with our used Born Free bottles. Should I save them in case we had a third baby? Nah, if we had a third, it probably wouldn’t be for at least a few more years. Instead, we decided to get creative and use them around the house. Here are just a handful of ways you can reuse your plastic or glass baby bottles:
  1. Bath time: Give the used plastic bottles to your kids to use as bath toys in the tub, or use them as rinse cups.
  2. Vase: Hand-pick flowers with your children and use the bottles as a vase.
  3. Planter: You can do this any day of the year, but what a fun Earth Day project it would make. Our deco and glass baby bottles would be perfect!
  4. Office Supplies: Use them to hold paper clips, safety pins, thumb tacks, pencils and pens!
  5. Accessory Holder: The 5 oz. bottles would be perfect for your little girl’s hair accessories (clips, elastics, and barrettes).
  6. Piggy Bank: Practice saving money with your little ones and give them multiple baby bottles. Put all their change into one baby bottle, or separate them out into Pennies, Nickels, Dimes, and Quarters.
  7. Bathroom Accessory Holder: Great for using as a toothbrush holder, for cotton balls, or Q-tips!
  8. Tools: Ever take a peek into your spouse’s workshop? There are miscellaneous canisters for nails, screws, bolts, etc. What a nice little gift your old Born Free bottles would make!
  9. Arts & Crafts: Fill the bottles with paint and water and have fun painting. Keep the bottle caps and cover the paint to keep it from drying out.
  10. Rattles & Musical Instruments: Fill them with beads, sand or other items that would make for some fun noise. All kids love toys that shake and make music!

The possibilities are endless! What other ways have you reused your baby bottles?
