DIY Natural Cleaning Supplies

Forget the harsh chemicals and expensive cleaning supplies! With just a little time and effort, you can create effective, natural, and (as an added bonus) inexpensive cleaning solutions that are safe for your home and your family.

Try some of these great ideas, and feel free to post some of your favorites! 

General Surface Cleaner
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
 
Carpet Spot Cleaner
  • 4 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 2-3 tablespoons baking soda
 
Window and Glass Cleaner:
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
 
Furniture Polish:
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
 
Sink Cleaner:
  • 3 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon cream of tartar (you'll find it in the baking or spice aisle)
