Can Born Free® bottles be used for a second baby after they were used for the first?
The bottles are perfectly fine to use after they have been stored away but customers should replace the venting system, nipples and collars.
Are Born Free® bottles recyclable?
Yes, Born Free® bottles can be recycled at a recycling center or put in a recycling bin.
Why does my Born Free® bottle have a film on it when it comes out of the dishwasher?
We do not recommend using harsh dishwasher soaps because they can leave a film on bottles. To remove film, simply boil in vinegar and water.
Can Born Free® teethers be put in the freezer?
Yes, Born Free® teethers can be placed in the freezer for extra soothing.
How do you replace the sponge on the Tru-Clean™ Bottle Cleaning System?
The Tru-Clean™ bottle cleaning system is designed to easily replace the sponge top when needed. Simply grab the sides of the plug and pull to unsnap. Lift the old sponge and remove from the clip on the back by sliding it down the brush handle. Wet the new sponge prior to reattaching to the handle.
How often should the sponge be replaced on the Tru-Clean™ Bottle Cleaning System?
The sponge should be replaced approximately every 30-45 days or when worn. The sponge can also be removed to sterilize in the dishwasher.
What are the nipple and vent components on Born Free® bottles made of?
All nipple and vent components are made of medical grade silicone.
What sort of inks are used for the designs on Born Free® bottles?
Designs on Deco bottles are lead free and chemical free like food coloring.
Can I use a bristle bottle brush to clean Born Free® bottle nipples and venting systems?
We do not recommend the use bristle brushes when cleaning nipples and venting systems, they can tear the nipples and venting system and this will cause the bottles to leak.
How often should I replace the nipples on Born Free® bottles?
We recommend that nipples be replaced after 3 months.
